IONOS Group SE Highlights Ongoing Sustainability Partnership with AfB
IONOS Group SE and AfB are setting a strong example of sustainability in the IT sector by refurbishing and recycling over 3,500 servers.
Karlsruhe / Berlin, 12 January 2024. IONOS Group SE is delighted to highlight the more than decade long partnership between its subsidiary, IONOS SE, and AfB, a leading social and green IT company. The outcome in this report is measured in the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. Through this collaboration, we have made significant strides in promoting sustainability within the IT sector.
During this period, AfB collected 3,579 servers from IONOS, with a total weight of more than 80 tonnes. Impressively, 42% of these devices were refurbished and the remaining 58% were recycled: This achievement underscores our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of IT hardware by extending its service life and contributing to a circular economy.
IONOS Group SE remains dedicated to sustainable practices and will continue to work with AfB to drive positive environmental and social impacts in the technology industry.
