The Leads & Cashback team is part of the Portal Business Solutions department of 1and1.
“The "Leads" part refers to the team's expertise in providing the backbone software for advertising and leads collection campaigns. The "Cashback" half of its name marks the team's contribution to the customer loyalty program which outputs in building incentive software systems that use cashback credit points as fidelity currency for the Portal users.”
Central to our business are our web portals: web.de and www.gmx.net. Making them available to customers and building secure flows that lead to or from the portals requires a holistic approach to software development and means that Leads & Cashback team business covers the whole range of topics from CMS related work, to web services, caching, DBs and all the communication flow that happens in-between.
A fundamental pillar in our current work is building our continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Regardless of the business projects we cater to, a crosscutting aspect in this team is establishing a DevOps culture. This has impact over our collaboration, affinity, tooling and scaling approach.
Main responsibilities:
- Translate product strategy into detailed functional requirements, models, diagrams, presentations, test automation scenarios that support the target audience to understand the business needs;
- Create, maintain, prioritize, and order the product backlog based on division strategy and business value;
- Work closely together with the Product Owner and other team members to ensure adequate granularity of requirements specification on an epic / story / task level;
- Act as the primary point of contact for queries related to the product;
- Facilitate communication at team level in order to create consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions;
- Find practical solutions to emerging problems;
- Participate in project planning, daily stand-up meetings (scrums), reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related ceremonies;
- Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes in an Agile environment;
- Offer transparency related to target dates, deadlines and progress of implementation effort;
- Review complex high-level requirements and translate them into deliverable implementation packages.
We appreciate:
- 3+ years experience working as Requirements / Business Engineer;
- Prior experience in using Confluence and Jira;
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written, both technical and non-technical;
- Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple complex tasks and deliverables simultaneously;
- Excellent problem-solving, analysis, research, and process mapping skills;
- Experience in Scrum / Agile methodology;
- Ability to capture business requirements and represent them effectively;
- Strive to reduce complexity and do the “right thing”;
- Driven by quality and excellence, approaching activities and tasks consistently;
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence, mediate and negotiate;
- Able to prioritize and make quick, fact-based decisions;
- Proven experience with web technologies and the inner workings of web applications.
Would be a plus:
- Experience in e-commerce platforms;
- Knowledge of online marketing & sales environment;
- Experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria utilizing Behavior Driven Development (BDD);
- Willingness to organize Scrum ceremonies;
- Stakeholder management exposure / experience working with distributed teams;
- Good understanding of development processes and technologies (Spring Boot/Cloud, REST, HTML/Javascript);
- Good technical understanding of microservices architecture;
- Good understanding of software lifecycle.
